Internships

In Every Language has unpaid internships that are available to degree-seeking, undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited institution in the United States. (Exceptions may be available for students participating in the Sister Cities of Louisville work exchange program.) Participating students must be enrolled as an intern for credit and provide In Every Language with a college contact who can verify this in writing. We do not sponsor student or work visas for foreign students.

Both full and part-time internships are available with flexible hours to accommodate students who may be enrolled in other courses the same semester that they intern with us. Internships must also run the length of a semester or academic year and are available for all terms (fall, spring, and summer). Shorter, full-time internships are also available for students whose colleges follow a 4-1-4 or similar semester model (for example, schools that have a “winter” or “May” term).

In order to make sure our interns get as enriching of an experience as possible, we try to tailor each internship to the student’s academic and vocational interests. Regardless of a student’s exact assignment, all internships with In Every Language must be focused on customer service and returning value to our clients. Previous interns have worked in project management, French translation, human resources, and Title VI awareness/community service. All majors are welcome to apply, but we are better able to place foreign language, business, government/international relations, social work, and similar majors.
